Lead Electrical Hardware Engineer

Start: 1th December, or sooner 
Duration: 12 months, with possibility of extension
Location: Gothenburg, Sweden 

We at Maandag Nordic are looking for a driven and solution-oriented engineer to join our client’s team within the commercial vehicles segment.

In this role, you’ll be part of a diverse and international engineering team, working onsite at the client’s facilities in Gothenburg. You’ll play a key role in developing and integrating advanced electrical hardware systems that power next-generation industrial and marine applications.

About the role: 

As an Electrical Hardware Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of electrical and electronic systems and components — from concept to production. You will lead system engineering activities, ensuring technical quality, functionality, and readiness before release.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating system engineering activities within electrical hardware.
• Designing and developing electrical systems, components, and interfaces.
• Translating requirements into functional and technical solutions.
• Driving verification, validation, and release processes.
• Collaborating closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure successful deliveries.
• Supporting product management and contributing to long-term technology roadmaps.
• Leading concept investigations and presenting solutions for approvall

To succeed in this role, we see that you have: 

- Educational background in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience from working with electrical components. 
- Experience from working with requirements from Electrical Hardware.
- Knowledge of PDM/PLM- and requirement management (e.g. PDM Link)
- Proven project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery on time & budget. 
- Familiar with the release process of hardware in the automotive industry. 
- Basic knowledge in Creo. 
- Fluent spoken/written English, Swedish is a plus.

- Experience from working with Functional Safety  
- Experience from Marine and/or Industrial applications  
- Experience from Electromobility (Electronic Distribution and Charging products)
