About the position
The nominated (Senior) Backend Engineer will:
- Take ownership of the development and maintenance of backend services using .NET / .NET Core and C#, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Work closely with internal client teams to design, build, and refine RESTful APIs and service components.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, share best practices, and help establish clean, maintainable, and testable codebases.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high engineering standards.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and support the integration of backend services with third-party systems.
- Document systems clearly and contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders on both client and service sides, both in German and English.

Job Requirements
Must-have:
- .NET / .NET Core
- C#
- Entity Framework
- REST APIs
- PowerShell
- SQL
- Experience with build and deployment processes in Azure DevOps
Ideally:
- Experience with microservice architectures
- Experience with RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus
- Experience with Elasticsearch
- Comfortable communicating with clients
- Fluent communication in German and English
Nice-to-have:
- Frontend knowledge in AngularJS and Angular 14
- Experience with Azure Cloud and Docker
