About the position
Do you have a track record of leading complex engineering projects within construction, manufacturing, or automotive industries? We’re continuously expanding our network of skilled Project Managers in Engineering who are ready to take on new assignments across Sweden – both as freelancers and consultants.
We expect projects primarily in Stockholm, Västerbotten, and Norrbotten, covering everything from industrial plant upgrades to product development and large-scale infrastructure programs.
As a Project Manager Engineering, you’ll be responsible for driving technical projects from concept to completion. You’ll coordinate design, production, and installation activities, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Managing multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors
- Leading planning, budgeting, risk management, and reporting activities
- Coordinating design, production, and commissioning phases
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Driving communication between engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Supporting continuous improvement and technical documentation
Job Requirements
We’re looking for candidates who combine technical depth with leadership skills. The ideal profile includes:
- Proven experience as Project Manager within construction, manufacturing, or automotive sectors
- Strong understanding of engineering processes, design coordination, and production planning
- Familiarity with project standards such as PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes and cross-functional teams
- Fluent English; Swedish language and experience with Swedish industry standards are valuable assets
